Tips to Grow Your Ministry

It is not enough to tell people where they can arrive in the Lord, you have to teach them the process.

The Word promises that those who believe, overcome, and operate in righteousness shall be saved (Romans 10:8), granted to sit with Jesus and The Father on the throne (Rev 3:21), and shall have their names written in the book of life (Rev 3:5).

The Word states that those who become unshakeable, like a rock, and those whom the gates of hell shall not prevail against, shall receive the keys to the Kingdom of Heaven and then whatever they bind and loose on earth shall be bound and loosed in Heaven (Matthew 16:19).

But, most Christians are not being taught the process of truly believing not only in the existence of Jesus, but in the power of Jesus. The specific steps that it takes to become an unshakeable rock for the Lord and to overcome are missing.

Yet, if you look more closely at your walk with the Lord, you will see that much more than receiving Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior and inviting Him into your heart and life are required to believe and move without doubt in the works of Jesus.

There are specific steps, processes and encounters Christians must experience in order to walk in the fullness of God and know the love of Christ.

This is a mini-teaching (warning: it’s a strong word) that reminds ministers to truly teach the process to their flocks so the mysteries of the gospel can truly be opened up to all Christians so they may walk as one with The Father, Jesus and the Holy Spirit.

Last week, I shared a list of possible resources that you should be creating for your flock (those the Lord has called you to impact). The first thing on that list was writing a book.

Here are a few tips to make your book writing a bit easier:

1. Do a “brain dump” of every single topic, teaching or idea you would like to include in the book. Write whatever comes to mind on sticky notes. Each note should have one teaching or idea.

2. Take those sticky notes and place them on a flip chart page that you post on your wall.

3. Organize or group the sticky notes into logical order or groupings. These groups are the beginnings of your chapters.

4. Once you feel like you have captured most of what you would like to include in your book, outline those topics using Microsoft Word’s Styles and Formatting Feature.

5. This will allow you to easily change the formatting for titles, headings, spacing and sub-headings throughout your text with ease.

6. Commit to writing a section of your book per day until it is complete.

There is something happening in the Body of Christ that many are missing. We have shifted into the era of the gospel of the Kingdom.

“And this gospel of the Kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then the end shall come.” – Matthew 24:14.

This means that you must now be Kingdom-minded. This means that you must shift from believing in the existence of Jesus, to believing in the power of Jesus and walking in this power of the Kingdom to come at all times.

The gospel of the Kingdom is not new, it is just that we are now walking in it and it requires a shift in our thinking.

To be Kingdom-minded, you must focus all of your time, energy and thinking on the Kingdom of Heaven, which is the already-done Kingdom that exists in Heaven, because this is the only place from which you can receive your instruction on building your portion of the Kingdom of God, the Kingdom to come, upon the earth.

The Word is very clear about those who inherit – or gain access to while you are living – the Kingdom of God. You must be free of the works of the flesh (see 1 Cor 6:9 – 10; Galatians 5:17 – 21; and, Ephesians 4:22 – 5:5.

These are the things that must be cast out of your life by the power of Jesus so you can walk in the fact that Satan has already been defeated. Once you walk in this, you overcome the world and then are free to walk in the fullness of Christ and complete the work you have been called to do to impact the Kingdom of God.

This Kingdom gospel uncovers and opens up scriptures that we haven’t truly discussed in detail in the Body of Christ, yet these very scriptures hold the keys to the Kingdom of Heaven in them.

Here are some steps to get you focused on the Kingdom of Heaven and God:

1. Take a good, objective look at your life and determine the areas in which darkness is still producing fruit. These are the areas not of Jesus, the light. Make a list of these areas. Are you still finding yourself getting angry? Are you suffering from sickness or disease? Are you still carrying emotional pain from past situations?

2. Increase your time first thing in the morning in the presence of God. Spend more time reading your Word and writing out scripture. Increase the time that you spend praising and worshiping the Lord.

3. Add Christ-centered meditation to your daily routine. Ask the Lord which scriptures you need to meditate upon. Locate them in the Word and begin to focus on those scriptures until the Lord begins to bring you the deeper teachings about the scriptures. Do this day and night (Psalms 1:2).

4. Ask the Lord to reveal your specific Kingdom assignment to you so you are crystal clear about what you should be doing daily to build the Kingdom.
    

The Lord is pouring so much about the gospel of the Kingdom and what it means to walk in it daily into me. I will be teaching more and more about the gospel of the Kingdom because it is imperative that we operate in the full power of Jesus that the Kingdom holds.
