Can you feel it? Do you have a sense of anticipation for something big. There is something special in the works of the Heavenly realm that Jesus is releasing into the Body of Christ. Jesus is releasing His greater works into the Body like He never has before.
It’s time to get your focus off of the things of the natural – your job, finances, health, family, friends, career – and focus on the things of the Kingdom. It is time to go beyond the walls of churches and build the Kingdom.
It is time for the greater works. In John 14:10, Jesus Himself said, “I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these because I am going to the Father.”
It is the responsibility of every believer to continue the work of Jesus to complete the task of making The Body of Christ whole. Jesus taught, healed, delivered, sought after His lost sheep and brought light into darkness. Where are your greater works?
You should be teaching The Word of God to someone daily? You should be used as a vessel to heal or deliver someone several times throughout the week. You have the charge of being a voice of God’s Kingdom which leads His lost sheep back to Him. All day everyday you are light in the midst of darkness to someone’s life. It is time for the greater works.
It is my deepest prayer that every single believer is doing these greater works each and everyday. It is only when you focus on the greater works or higher things of God that He guarantees that He will provide for everything else to take care of your day-to-day life (Matthew 6:33).
It is time to expand your vision and focus on the people you were born to serve. Just for a season, stop worrying about what you need and meet the needs of others in a structured and consistent way. Provide something that others need and you will get what you need.
I remember when God first instructed me to write and I did not have the money I thought I needed to create a book. He told me, “It does not cost a penny to write.” I realized in that moment that it did not cost a single penny to write what God wanted to speak through me, to focus, to get organized or be consistent. As a matter of fact, when I took a look around my life, I had everything I needed. I trusted that He would provide the rest. I began to write that day and He responded to my obedience by providing everything I needed.
I challenge you this month to focus on the greater works. Ask God how you can fulfill His word in Mark 16:17, “And these signs will accompany those who believe; In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues, they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison (be the light in darkness and not become of the darkness), it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people and they will get well” each and every day. Seek His Kingdom and He will open the windows of Heaven just for you.
